Being on time – and marketing

Seth Godin is a hero – have always admired his thoughtfulness. One of such thought via his blog post “Marketing Time“-

“A contractor that prides himself on finishing every single job on the day it’s due, regardless of what it takes, is telling a powerful story, doing marketing that’s actually cheaper and more effective than advertising ever could be.”

Seth points to time as an important tactic for doing marketing – be it organizational or personal.  I think this also applies to individuals who strive to deliver superior performances – getting over tasks on or before time passes a very strong message to the colleagues/superiors and tells a powerful story about your dedication, commitment and drive.

When did you last amaze your client/peer/superior doing a task on/before time?
